This is a lacquered Japanese antique military sake cup, decorated with a kiri and the words "Meiji 27/28th Years (1894/95)" "Qing Conquest Taiwan Invasion Victorious Return Commemoration". Cups referring to Japan's campaign in Taiwan are very rare. This one and the other I'm currently selling are only one of a few I've ever come across.

Size: 4" diameter

Condition: Excellent. The front side seems to be a bit faded due to sunlight exposure - the lacquer is not quite as shiny. Otherwise it's in great condition aside from some surface wear.
