This is a pair of two military sake cups, with the smaller decorated with the flags of Germany, Russia, and Italy, and the bigger cup decorated with the flags of the USA, UK, Austria-Hungary, and France. The words on the smaller cups on the front are "Strict Army Discipline" and on the larger cup "Outstanding bravery in successive battles". The words on the back of each of the cups are "12th Infantry Regiment 3rd Battalion" and "Meiji 33rd Year North Qing Temporary Expedition Commemoration". The words on the bottom of the original wooden box say "Meiji 33rd Year United Nations Army Northern Qing War" "National Celebration of Victory Wooden Cups" "12th Infantry Regiment 3rd Battalion" and "Army Private 1st Class Aioi Fujiyoshi."
