This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with the four words "Imperial Longevity Has No Bounds". This is basically a reference to the emperor's birthday. The words on the back are "Taisho 8th Year (1919) Navy Special Exercises Imperial Vessel Commemoration" "Warship Settsu". This refers to Settsu serving as the main imperial vessel where the emperor sat and reviewed the fleet. It was a great honor for a ship to serve as these imperial vessels, and the cups are quite rare.
