Very Rare Antique Japanese Military 1922 Kutani Sharpshooter Award Ravens Bowl w/ box
This is a very delicate and unique Japanese antique military commemorative bowl, decorated with a very detailed hand painted picture of two ravens on a pine tree. The base of the bowl has the words "Special Shooting Competition" "9th Transport Battalion" and in gold the name of the maker, Kutani Moriyama. The exterior of the bowl has a bunch of gold cherry blossoms with the word "Award" on one side. The bowl comes with its original wooden box, with the words "Taisho 11th Year Sharpshooter Award" "9th Transport Battalion". There's a sticker under the lid of the box for the maker, the name of which (Moriyama-do) matches the bowl itself. It also fits very snugly as they should. Kutani, of course, is most famous for very decorative items and is located near current day Kanazawa.
