This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a horse and a star. The words on the cup are "Taisho 12th Year (1923) War Dead Memorial Horse Race" "Award". This would've been given to the winner or at least a runner-up for the race. The Japanese withdrew from Siberia in late 1922, so 1923 would be a service for the dead in the Siberian Intervention.

Condition: Excellent - light fading of the gold
