Very Rare Antique Japanese Military 1940 Hikari Naval Arsenal Opening Commemoration Dish
This is a very rare antique Japanese navy wooden dish, made in the shape of a ship and decorated on the front with an insignia - it looks like the character "hikari" but also resembling an anchor. The words on the back are "Hikari Naval Arsenal Opening Ceremony Commemoration" "Showa 15th Year November 5th". The Hikari Naval Arsenal produced munitions and other materials for the Japanese navy. It was bombed by 190 planes on the day Japan surrendered.
