Regular price $0

This is an interesting Japanese military sake cup, decorated with two scenes - one with a soldier on a boat rowing across some water, and the second a pontoon bridge that got set up. There are crossed pick and spades on top, with the words "Discharge Commemoration". The back of the cup has the name of the kiln Kutani, with an exterior that has an embossed pattern. It's quite interesting to see what is basically a very short story - presumably, the soldier rowed across, and then helped set up the bridge for the rest of the army to cross.
