This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a nicely detailed picture of a young man sitting in front of his parents in a Japanese style house. The words on the left are "General Nogi's Family when he was young". The young man here must be General Nogi, and those are his parents. Quite an interesting cup.
