This is an antique Japanese military sake bottle, made in the shape of an artillery shell with a base attached. It's decorated with some cherry blossoms and the big words "Glory of the Nation". The smaller words are "China Incident Commemoration". The bottle comes with rare original cardboard box, decorated on the front with a pair of flags and the words "Commemoration". The stamp on the back of the lid says "Next to Mito Army Camp, Made by Yokoyama Military Supply Store". It's very rare to find a box like this in near mint condition.

Condition: The bottle has a glued-back chip at the base of the bottom piece - please see pictures. The full photo is taken with the repair facing forward. The tip of the shell and the main bottle are in excellent condition with very light fading of the gold. The box is in excellent condition, the only fault being smelling like stale cigarettes.

Size: The box is 8" long and 3.5" wide and 3.5" tall. The bottle fits comfortably inside the box.
