Very Rare Russo Japanese War Captured Ship Battleship Retvizan (Hizen) Navy Sake Cup
This is a very rare antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a really detailed picture of a profile of a battleship. The words on the cup are "Navy Sailor Term Fulfillment Commemoration" and under the ship is a Japanese style signature. There's no name to this ship on the cup, but looking at the profile of Russo Japanese war era ships (since this is clearly a pre-dreadnought) it looks to be the Russian battleship Retvizan. This ship was sunk in Port Arthur and raised by the Japanese after capture, renamed Hizen. None of the other ships of the era look quite like this (3 stacks with the profile shape of this ship). If you think there's another ship that looks more like this one, please let me know!
